Day trip from Otintaai Hotel to Biketawa Islet in North Tarawa. Even on a cloudy day, Biketawa was bliss. A great time away from the bustle of South Tarawa.

This video, taken outside in the offices of the Fisheries Division of Kiribati's Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resource Development, describes the shifting sands of Kiribati and the challenge they pose for boat travel. The channel (pictured) between the office and the lagoon had silted up during the recent El Nino event, making passage by boat harder than usual.

A very interesting cultural centre & free admission, a small contribution would be appreciated on the way out & sign the visitors book, on arrival their were a number of local school children inside, they were happy to join me for some happy snaps & film, if your feeling a little dry in the mouth then take a stroll at the back of the cultural centre & you may be lucky enough to find a kind gentleman to climb the coconut trees & get you a fresh ...

This is a collection of videos from my trip to Ribono on the Abeyang Atoll. I may divide this into shorter videos later on. This is a much more traditional place in Kiribati.

A continuation traveling through this beautiful part of ABATAO & enjoying the relaxation at TABON TE HOME-STAY, returning towards my hired car & crossing over on the small boat, then navigating through the rough road back towards the FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE. Absolutely a piece of paradise you cant avoid visiting.

Only a few min's walk from the Bairiki Square the business area in Tarawa, this is the residency of the President of Kiribati, while viewing the building from the road I get talking to the only local Taxi Driver & he also offers to take me to the Presidents weekend home, I'm not really sure if this is totally true, however I went along for the ride & relaxed in the area for a while taking to the taxi driver. Later I then returned back to Bairiki ...

Throughout my holiday in Tarawa between the 14/02/13 to the 07/03/13 I would often drive down to the airport & witness the daily activity with the local people either walking around or sitting & relaxing on the airport runway, appears to be a regular meeting place for some locals caching up with the gossip, younger people playing sporty games, cyclists, motor scooters & skate boarders, also a great oppoturnity viewing the beautiful sunsets, ...
