On February 15, 2013, Ryanair flight 227 , a Boeing 737 inbound to Dublin from London, landed long on runway 28 at DUB and performed a 180 on the runway rather than vacating at B7, the taxiway at the end of the runway. Two Aer Lingus flights had to go around while the runway was occupied, and more delays took place while the runway was inspected for possible foreign object debris left by the hard braking action. Chez RyanAir, le leader du low cost aérien en Europe, la grogne chez les employés prend de l'ampleur. Jusqu'en mars 2018, la compagnie a dû annuler 20.000 vols. Plusieurs pilotes ont décidé de démissionner. Sept mois après avoir quitté la compagnie, l'un d'entre eux s'est confié à BFMTV. Il dénonce une cadence épuisante et un "management par la terreur".
